When I paint I want the viewer to feel the wonder and joy I first felt viewing the critter, I want them to actively think about the environment and the creatures that I have painted, even for just a moment. Maybe I start a spark of a thought in the viewers mind, begin a conversation when they look at my painting. If the viewer does connect with one of my paintings, becomes just a tiny bit more aware of the world around them, then that is moment when the passion I feel for painting nature turns to pure joy.
